The Company:

We are recruiting for a leading Website Management platform for global enterprises. Its powerful yet easy-to-use online dashboard transforms how marketing and technical teams work together to optimise the quality and compliance of their web properties and drive business growth.

A UK-based company, they have recently acquired a US-based consulting division which brings exciting opportunities within a new, blended business model.

The Role:

As Business Development Manager, you’ll lead the push into a brand new region, driving the sales cycle from identifying decision makers to closing the deal.

Not only will you be selling their market-leading services into the world’s largest and most successful companies, this varied and interesting role also includes some account management, ensuring client engagement and identifying new opportunities for uplift. Collaborating with the product support, telesales and account management functions, you’ll find innovative ways to access decision makers and bring the sale to completion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Business Development, developing and implementing the best sales strategies, you’ll manage all aspects of the new business cycle: identifying decision-makers and securing the initial meeting, presentation of demos, proposals, managing trials and negotiation of terms and owning the close of sale process.
  • You’ll need to keep your sales techniques, knowledge of the web and of the market up to date, identifying and attending networking and other events within target markets to keep your competitive edge.
  • Within the business, you’ll contribute to the development of the Company’s sales strategy, deputising for Head of BD as needed.
  • Building effective relationships with other departments to progress sales will be essential and you’ll help guide the in-house development of based on client feedback, suggestions and requests. You’ll use Salesforce to report on sales and related KPIs.


The Person:

An excellent communicator with the drive, tenacity and selling ability to achieve business and personal success, you will be:

  • Highly-motivated, tenacious and sales professional with an excellent track record (2 years+) in new B2B end-to-end technical sales, selling into multi-national corporates
  • Tech-savvy, experienced in (and passionate about) the world of corporate websites, (perhaps you have a digital agency or CMS vendor background?)
  • Highly knowledgeable about internal business processes in large organisations
  • Degree-qualified, or at least bring a demonstrable ability to understand complex technical products
  • Fluent in English with impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Available to travel overseas, around one overnight stay per month
