A recent series B round via very well-known and successful B2B SaaS VCs will drive massive global growth during 2018 and they are immediately looking for a Sales Manager to help drive this team expansion.
This really is a hugely exciting time to be joining a business on a steep growth curve who have already received industry accolades, such as being featured in the top ten of the Deloitte Fast 50.
This is the first Sales Manager to be hired by the business and will initially report into one of the Co-Founders.
This is a pure management role with no direct quota. Your main objectives will be to coach and nurture the existing team of eight AEs, whilst driving recruitment which is moving at a rapid pace.
It’s likely this will be fifteen heads very soon and expand to thirty in the coming months. A second management position will be recruited and responsibilities will be split to optimise performance and team focus.
Over time, both Sales Manager roles will report into a newly appointed VP, Global Sales.
The current team is split by account size, and you will find a mix of experience, including a senior AE who has been with the business for some time and will be expected to provide mentoring support as an experienced team member.
Salary will be up to £60,000 plus OTC
It’s essential you have a proven track record of managing large inside sales teams. Your proven management experience is crucial at a time when the business as growing at such a tremendous pace.
It would help if you have worked in high-growth, early-stage start-ups previously; however, it’s really the people management and experience of coaching in a technical environment that will bring the greatest value. Your recruitment and hiring ability will also play a major role, and you will need to demonstrate you have directly owned or been a major stakeholder for sales team hiring decisions.
Their culture is important to them, and they want to grow whilst retaining the start-up feel and open culture. You’ll need to be comfortable communicating with people at all levels. You’ll need to be a high energy, confident and highly capable individual looking for a fast-paced, fun, challenging role.
