As part of an on-going expansion of their digital & e-commerce teams they are looking to hire a talented Senior Online Category Manager.

The Role:

The primary purpose of the Senior Online Category Manager is to take ownership for delivering the category performance, maximising sales and profitability.

The Senior Online Category Manager will:
 

• Maximise online sales and profit through the translation and implementation of category strategies and a deep understanding of customer behaviour.
• Provide a lead to a team of Online Trading Managers and Site Merchandisers
• Deliver insightful and engaging customer journeys that drive conversion, basket size and attachment.
• Take ownership for the development of the Online Merchandising Strategy
• Work closely with Commercial Merchandisers to understand demand and forecasting to enable effective management of stock.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales to deliver exceptional product content presentation.
• Improve brand presence online; digital assets, product tours, reviews, brand pages
• Drive sales conversion online with targeted eCommerce shopper marketing
• Develop data analytics and insights capability to drive sales conversion online
• Identify and develop relevant consumer and/or shopper insights
• Provide leadership in the education of the wider organization of eCommerce marketplace
• Ensure a relentless focus on the customer; proactively displaying multi-channel thinking and behaviours to drive a continuously improved customer centric experience

The Person:

We are looking for a highly motivated, driven and numbers focussed Senior Online Category Manager with a demonstrable track record of delivering significant sales growth online.  Your experience will ideally have been gained from retail sector although other sectors will be considered.  You will have a deep understanding of site merchandising, content and product and be able to demonstrate the ability to understand customer needs and drive on site conversion.  You will demonstrate first class leadership capabilities with the ability to think both strategically and analytically and have the gravitas and credibility to operate at a senior level.
