Our client is one of the UK’s best known and trusted specialist retail businesses.  With an enviable reputation and presence in the market they are looking to cement their position as one of the UK’s leading multi-channel businesses. As part of an on-going expansion of their digital & e-commerce teams they are looking to hire a talented Lead UX Architect.

The Role:

The primary purpose of the Lead UX Architect is to be responsible for the application of UX methodology to address the needs of digital visitors and deliver a 1st class user journey.

The UX Architect will:
 

• Architect the user experience and set the tone, sentiment and attitude of the content to ensure that it is scalable, flexible and coherent.
• Design wireframes, covering navigation, functionality, page content and usability.
• Develop and implement customer testing approach and utilise findings to improve digital shopping experience
• Conduct user interviews, card sorts, surveys, and prototype testing to assess website usability and effectiveness.
• Organise and facilitate collaborative workshops to elicit requirements, brainstorm ideas, and refine designs.
• Provide detailed specifications and prototypes for stakeholders and developers.
• Act as user experience governance for the execution of functional developments and merchandising changes across all digital interfaces, including implications for staff ordering interfaces
• Manage BAU content design while delivering multiple large-scale projects.

The Person:

We are looking for User Experience experts with experience in managing large transactional websites. Experience of working across multiple platforms (web, mobile, tablet etc.) would be hugely advantageous. You will have managed teams of people and possess extremely strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.  You must have a customer-centric approach and understand the importance of a simple and error-free customer journey.
