Our client is one of the UK’s best known and trusted specialist retail businesses.  With an enviable reputation and presence in the market they are looking to cement their position as one of the UK’s leading multi-channel businesses. As part of an on-going expansion of their digital & e-commerce teams they are looking to hire a talented Senior Online Trading & Optimisation Manager.

The Role:

The primary purpose of the Senior Online Trading & Optimisation Manager is to take ownership for delivering the sales for all non-category pages on the site.

The Senior Online Trading & Optimisation Manager will:
 

• Maximise online sales, profit and performance for all premium trading estate eg check-out, homepage and clearance etc
• Provide a lead to a team of Online Trading Managers and Site Merchandisers
• Deliver insightful and engaging customer journeys that drive conversion, basket size and attachment
• Create and own strategies for ratings and reviews, MVT and personalisation
• Work closely with the Marketing Team to develop and maintain an editorial content calendar
• Ensure the business maximises commercial opportunities through targeted tools and merchandising activities (i.e. site search and recommendations etc)
• Work with UX and development colleagues to review and develop market leading digital customer propositions and experiences

The Person:

We are looking for a highly motivated, driven and numbers focussed Senior Online Trading & Optimisation Manager with a demonstrable track record of delivering significant sales growth online.  Your experience will ideally have been gained from retail sector although other sectors will be considered.  You will have a deep understanding of site merchandising, content, Customer Journey & Experience, UX, Optimisation and product and be able to demonstrate the ability to understand customer needs and drive on site conversion.  You will demonstrate first class leadership capabilities with the ability to think both strategically and analytically and have the gravitas and credibility to operate at a senior level.
